What is ArtQuest?
ArtQuest is a bi-annual public sculpture project presented by the Marco Island Foundation for the Arts in cooperation with the island business community. At least a dozen highest quality sculptures are on exhibition at various business locations around the island.
Artist applications are due August 15, 2009. Sponsors will choose from among juried applicatants by September 15th, 2009, with artists notified by September 20th.
Installation is to take place November 1st-10th. There will be an artist/sponsor party on November 11th.
Unveiling of all sculptures is to take place on November 12th, 2009.
A very special artist symposium luncheon will be held on November 13th, 2009 at noon at Hideaway Beach Club.
A People's Choice Award will be given at an event to take place during the last week in January 2010.
Docent tours of the sculptures are being scheduled for January, February and March 2010.
We'll be saying good bye to the sculptures in June 2010.
